Council

The Council of the Newman Catholic Students’ Society is the legislative branch of the Society, consisting of the Society’s entire membership. The Council provides a forum for any Society member to provide input on the activities, events, and general life of the Society to the Executive Committee.

The Council also provides members of the Society with the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Committee in planning and running the Society’s activities and events. Each member of the Executive Committee appoints up to two coordinators to collaborate with and assist the member in performing his or her duties. Oftentimes the coordinator will specialize in a particular aspect of the member’s portfolio, such as reimbursements in the case of finance or interfaith relations in the case of the presidency.
